Part-time Security Officer

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a part-time security officer, for assignment at an industrial site in Sterling, IL. Schedule will consist of 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Wednesday - Saturday. 32 hours a week at $16.50 per hour.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules via CCTV and security rounds.

- Access control of visiting individuals and commercial inbound traffic.

- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.

- Report any facility issues.

- Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.

- Other duties as assigned by security supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to handle physical workload including climbing stairs.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, motor vehicle report, and background investigation.
  • A basic knowledge of computers.
  • Driving a company vehicle is required. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • A current or former PERC card holder preferred, but not required
