Pay: $12.20/Hour

Position Type: part-time

We have various sports and programming available throughout the year for kids age 3 through elementary school. This position is responsible for teaching fundamentals of volleyball enforcing rules and regulations during games, and emphasizing good sportsmanship and enjoyment of volleyball. Additional responsibilities include practice preparation and lesson planning.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of volleyball skills and rules and safety awareness are required. Personal experience in volleyball, background in Y sports philosophy and experience refereeing or coaching are beneficial.
  • Must be energetic and enjoy working with kids in a fun and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of individuals and have the ability to build rapport with participants and parents.
  • Self-confidence, strong communication skills, and the ability to enforce rules impartially, consistently and calmly.
  • Must possess a spirit of good sportsmanship and exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Certifications:

  • CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
