Role Overview

GoTo Telemed is seeking licensed Dentists (DDS or DMD) to join our nationwide virtual healthcare network. In this fully remote position, you will deliver comprehensive routine, preventive, and basic dental support to patients across the country. Working through our integrated EHR and telecommunications platform, you will provide clinical consultations and care management without the overhead of physical practice administration. Our digital health model connects oral healthcare with primary medicine, pediatrics, and behavioral health, supporting comprehensive whole-person wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Synchronous Teledentistry: Conduct real-time, HIPAA-compliant video and audio consultations (CDT D9995) to assess oral health concerns, dental discomfort, and acute emergencies.
  • Asynchronous Evaluations: Perform diagnostic reviews of patient-submitted clinical data, high-resolution intraoral photographs, and forwarded radiographic records (CDT D9996) within our cloud EHR system.
  • Diagnostic & Acute Care: Deliver problem-focused clinical evaluations (CDT D0140), diagnose non-emergent conditions, and manage acute oral infections, trauma, and temporomandibular joint pain.
  • Preventive Management: Provide preventive oral health guidance, individualized home-care plans, and post-procedural recovery reviews (CDT D0171).
  • Teleprescribing: Prescribe non-controlled therapeutic agents (antibiotics, topical antimicrobials, non-opioid analgesics) in accordance with state dental practice acts and teleprescribing laws.
  • Care Coordination: Identify conditions requiring hands-on clinical intervention or surgical management and coordinate referrals to local dental specialists.
  • Collaborative Supervision: Serve as a collaborative, supervising dentist for platform Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs) providing preventive oral health education.
