Job description

Telehealth Registered Dietitian Nutritionist — Guaranteed 24–30 Hours/Week

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is looking for a Telehealth Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our team and provide virtual weight management and lifestyle counseling for a specialty medical practice focused on improving cardiometabolic health.

Unlike many telehealth dietitian roles that are PRN, per-patient, or dependent on patient volume, this position offers guaranteed 24–30 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for an RDN looking for consistent part-time hours, remote flexibility, and the ability to work with patients in a growing area of virtual nutrition care.

Position Highlights

Guaranteed Hours: 24–30 hours per week, not dependent on patient volume
Schedule: Flexible work-from-home schedule
Setting: 100% remote, telehealth-based role
Pay: Starting at $38.00–$42.00/hour, based on experience
Training & Equipment: Paid training and company-provided equipment

Key Responsibilities

The Telehealth RDN will provide nutrition counseling, lifestyle coaching, and patient support through a virtual care platform. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing virtual nutrition therapy and weight management counseling through video, phone, and digital messaging
  • Conducting nutrition assessments and developing individualized behavior change plans
  • Supporting patients with lifestyle changes related to weight management, cardiometabolic health, and obesity-related conditions
  • Providing patient education and support related to anti-obesity medications under established protocols and physician supervision
  • Engaging in remote patient monitoring using digital tools such as scales, blood glucose meters, and blood pressure monitors
  • Using motivational interviewing and patient-centered counseling techniques to support long-term behavior change
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Collaborating with the clinical team to support patient progress and continuity of care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Current state licensure or certification, if required by the state
  • Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
  • At least 2 years of outpatient, telehealth, weight management, or related counseling experience preferred
  • Comfortable using technology, electronic medical records, and virtual care platforms
  • Ability to maintain a HIPAA-compliant remote work environment
  • CDCES certification preferred but not required
  • Evening and Saturday availability preferred
