Who We Are:
The Emerging Career Professionals (ECP) department is a new and innovative initiative of the OU, dedicated to empowering and supporting Orthodox Jewish young professionals. Through targeted programs and partnerships, ECP seeks to foster meaningful Jewish engagement, leadership development, and community connection in key cities across North America.
The Orthodox Union (OU) is one of the largest Orthodox Jewish organizations in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol, Ⓤ, is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.
Position Summary:
The OU's Emerging Career Professionals (ECP) program seeks to hire a Part-Time Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Coordinator will work with the ECP Marketing team to create content on multiple platforms and share the story of the growth and exciting programming across ECP. The coordinator must be passionate about building communities for young Jewish professionals.
This role is 29 hours a week and Remote work from home or NYC office
Responsibilities:
  • Set up accounts across all relevant social platforms
  • Oversee aspects of social media for the ECP brand, providing information to potential participants and showcasing upcoming and past events
  • Sharing engaging text, visual, and video content on multiple platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Stay up to date on current trends in social media
  • Work with ECP Directors and the Marketing team to create a cohesive brand
  • Interact with the audience on each of these platforms by engaging them, providing resources, and answering questions
  • Create visually appealing flyers and infographics for social media usage
  • Design flyers on Canva within brand guidelines
  • Use and update existing Canva templates
