The Federal Work Study Esports Graphic Design position assists in maintaining the visual identity of the ArtU Esports program. This position works onsite and assists with translating competitive match milestones, team brand guidelines, and programmatic announcements into professional digital and print assets. The Federal Work Study Esports Graphic Design position works with the EsportsManager and with the Social Media and Stream Coordinators to assist in delivering clean, dynamic, and cohesive visual packages, ranging from social media templates to custom broadcast layouts.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists with designing comprehensive stream overlay packages, including scene transitions, starting soon screens, commercial placeholders, and alert graphics in collaboration with the Stream Coordinator.
  • Assist in creating high-impact social media assets, match-day templates, tournament brackets, and player spotlight graphics for official channels.
  • Helps the Esports Manager to review designed materials making sure it adheres to the university and esports program's brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Support and organize project files, vector assets, and asset libraries to allow for efficient hand-offs and structural iteration.
  • Collaborate with the video production team to provide vector assets, typography layouts, and lower-thirds for promotional video packages.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity in industry-standard design tools, specifically Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent vector and raster software is preferred.
  • Understanding of core design principles, including typography, composition, color theory, layout hierarchy, and branding continuity is preferred.
  • Experience creating functional stream assets or digital layouts optimized for web broadcast platforms like Twitch and YouTube is preferred.
  • Ability to meet timelines with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in independent and team-based settings.
  • Self-motivated; excellent time management and organization.
  • Interest in games and esports is preferred.
  • You may include a Portfolio link (video and/or design) if available.
