Biostate AI is a biotechnology startup based in Houston, Texas, working at the intersection of RNA sequencing and artificial intelligence. We develop software for advanced data analysis and design scientific AI models that expand what is possible in the life sciences. As a small and ambitious team, we offer the opportunity to contribute meaningful work that ships quickly, reaches practicing scientists, and shapes the visual identity of the company. Prior programming experience is helpful but not required; training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • A portfolio of illustration or visual design work; academic, personal, and social media projects are welcome
  • Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or front-end development, or a strong interest in learning through AI-assisted tools
  • Strong visual judgment and the ability to work independently from a general brief
  • Highly motivated and eager to take on impactful work in a fast-paced startup environment

Position Details

  • Fully remote; up to 20 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility around academic commitments

Biostate AI is an equal opportunity employer.
