User Experience Designer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to transform the way a user interacts with web design? You know that a good system is more than just the code, infrastructure, and a nice-looking interface, it's the way it addresses a user's needs. As a User Experience (UX) Designer, you'll have the chance to put yourself in the user's place and design the best way for them to engage with the system. We're looking for someone creative like you to craft the ultimate user experience.
In this role, you'll work closely with the product manager on your team to understand your clients' vision and their user's needs. Working on an Agile team, you'll build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are aesthetically pleasing. You'll be involved with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front-end development. Your experience with user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front-end development will help you advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, all the while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with user research and creating intuitive user designs for software or web applications
  • Experience with visual design
  • Ability to communicate design concepts across different audiences and varying levels within an organization
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with user experience and user-centered design
  • Knowledge of information architecture, workflow design, information management, and governance for site usability
  • Knowledge of evolving web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
