The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the U.S. Army to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need a network engineer like you who knows how to craft the exact network the U.S. Army needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you'll help the U.S. Army build and maintain a reliable network to support critical training missions. You'll work with soldiers, other SMEs, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements. You'll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to grow your skills in network design, maintenance, and administration while continuing to grow your network engineering experience. You Have:
  • Experience researching and recommending network and server hardware and software for large complex networks, developing, maintaining, and implementing network support, and archiving procedures
  • Experience installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware and software
  • Experience implementing and managing network policies, procedures, and standards, and enforcing security procedures
  • Experience monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating hardware, software, and network problems
  • Ability to meet with clients to plan, analyze, design, and test computer applications to ensure computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and up to 12 hours a day outside of normal work hours
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Security+, CCNP, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience administering accounts, creating organizational units, mapping users and computers, and assisting with creating or managing group policies within Active Directory
  • Experience configuring, managing, and maintaining virtual servers, networks, and connected clients using VMware vSphere
  • Experience using and configuring Cisco switches
  • Experience with set up, networking, troubleshooting, and use of Army Mission Command Information Systems
  • Experience with set up, networking, and troubleshooting of Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
