Part Time Trivia information

What is a part time trivia?

Part time trivia jobs typically involve hosting, organizing, or facilitating trivia games or quizzes at bars, restaurants, events, or online platforms. These roles can include being a trivia host, question writer, or event coordinator, and often require good public speaking skills, quick thinking, and a fun, engaging personality. Hours are usually flexible and scheduled during evenings or weekends, making it a popular choice for those seeking supplementary income or a side gig. Some positions may also involve creating or researching trivia questions, managing game logistics, and interacting with participants to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time trivia host?

To thrive as a Part Time Trivia Host, you need strong public speaking skills, a good general knowledge base, and often experience in event hosting or entertainment. Familiarity with presentation tools, microphones, and sometimes trivia software or apps is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, quick thinking, and a lively personality help engage audiences and manage group dynamics. These skills are important to create an enjoyable, smooth-running event that keeps participants entertained and returning for more.

What are some of the common challenges faced by part-time trivia hosts, and how can they be addressed?

Part-time trivia hosts often face challenges such as managing diverse and energetic crowds, ensuring questions are clear and fair, and keeping events running smoothly on tight schedules. It’s important to develop strong communication skills and maintain an engaging presence to keep participants interested. Familiarity with the venue’s equipment and flexibility in handling unexpected situations, like tie-breakers or disputes over answers, also contribute to a successful trivia night. Collaborating closely with venue staff and having backup questions or activities can help hosts navigate these challenges effectively.

At Sharetec, we believe in the talent of our workforce. We have the opportunity to make millions of peoples’ lives easier by developing innovative solutions for credit unions and their members to utilize on a daily basis. Our customers rely on us to deliver powerful technology and to be their caring partner.

As a Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, callers, and incoming communications, playing a critical role in shaping a professional and welcoming first impression of the organization. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, efficiently managing inbound communications, and ensuring all customer interactions are accurately documented and routed within Salesforce, while also providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily office operations.

This is a non-exempt, hybrid position (following training) based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a part-time position (20 hours/week). The salary for this role is $16.00 to $16.50/hour + bonus.

As a Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:

Customer Engagement & Front Desk Operations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming phone calls and front desk inquiries.
  • Provide accurate information, route calls appropriately, and ensure timely follow-up where needed.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, courtesy, and a strong customer service mindset in every interaction.

Case Logging & Communication Management

  • Document all customer interactions (calls, emails, and in-person inquiries) accurately and promptly within Salesforce.
  • Ensure all customer concerns are logged and routed to the appropriate departmental queues in alignment with established procedures.
  • Maintain high data integrity and consistency in all case documentation to support effective resolution and reporting.

Administrative Support & Office Coordination

  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, email, and fax communications.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including data entry, filing, photocopying, and office supply maintenance.
  • Support internal teams with scheduling, coordination, and ad hoc administrative needs as requested.

Information & Visitor Support

  • Serve as a knowledgeable and helpful resource for visitors and callers regarding general organizational information, services, and location details.
  • Assist with special requests such as transportation coordination, reservations, and general visitor or staff support needs.

You should have:

  • Proven experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar customer-facing role utilizing a multi-line phone system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a CRM; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with standard office equipment (fax, printers, scanners).
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow documented processes consistently.
  • A resourceful, proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality customer experiences.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
