HealthDrive is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to work Part-Time (2-3 days/week) in nursing facilities across the Chelsea, MA area.

Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric med-management services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
Essential Functions:
  • Monitor psychiatric medications for effectiveness, response of resident, and side effects
  • Inform residents of potential side effects of psychiatric medications
  • Recommend the initiation of any psychiatric medication deemed appropriate
  • Complete AIMS testing every three months on residents receiving antipsychotic medication
  • Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications according to federal regulations
  • Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff
  • Develop behavior plans as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college/university
  • State Professional Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board Certification required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other healthcare related software
