Part-Time (Split Shift)



Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and safety-focused Daycare Transportation Driver to transport children between our daycare facility and local schools. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring children arrive safely and on time each morning and are picked up promptly each afternoon.

Schedule:

  • Morning shift: Transport children from daycare to their respective schools
  • Afternoon shift: Transport children from schools back to daycare
  • Monday through Friday (school calendar year)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive children between the daycare and assigned schools on a set route and schedule
  • Properly use child safety seats, seat belts, and harnesses as required by state law
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Perform a headcount at every pickup and drop-off, and conduct a full vehicle check after each run to ensure no child is left behind
  • Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor with children, parents, and school staff
  • Follow all traffic laws and daycare safety policies
  • Communicate promptly with daycare staff and parents regarding delays, schedule changes, or incidents
  • Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition
  • Maintain accurate pickup/drop-off logs

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience working with or transporting children preferred
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Punctual, dependable, and responsible
  • CDL may be required depending on vehicle size (specify if applicable)
