Benefits Job Description
HCC is seeking Language Translators to accurately convert documents, audio recordings, and other materials from a source language into a target language. The role involves reviewing and editing translations to ensure precision, consistency, and preservation of the original format and context. In addition, the Translator will be expected to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to understand their needs and provide clear and accurate information.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position.

Required Education
High school diploma or GED.
Required Experience
No prior experience required; training will be provided for entry-level candidates.

General Weekly Work Schedule
Hours vary based on the needs of the department.
The hours of part-time, as-needed employees are limited to a total of less than 500 hours in each fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
