Senior Tactical Systems Analyst (Weapons Publications)
Virginia Beach, VA

Salary Range: $85.00-$95.00 per hour DOE

Position Summary

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist in the development and refinement of weapon-related aircrew and maintenance technical publications. This is a part-time position.

The Advanced Capabilities and Effective Solutions (ACES) Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class training, products, and support directly to aviators and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and convey various technical and engineering documents to aircrew and munition experts in written and/or oral form
  • Develop training materials in various formats and platforms such as PowerPoint presentations, oral briefs, and in-flight guides for use by aircrew
  • Regularly interact with and provide guidance, support, and input to internal and external customers, including operational squadrons, weapon school personnel, test squadrons, and program offices
  • Ensure protection of current and potential intellectual and company technology
  • Crosstrain and assist other priority efforts within ACES

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Eight (8) or more years' direct experience with U.S. Department of War (DoW) strike/fighter aircraft and munitions
  • Travel (10%) to various work sites throughout the U.S.
  • Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility
  • Eligible for SAP/SAR programs
  • Valid State Driver License
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Strike/Fighter Pilot or Weapons Systems Officer
  • USAF/USN/USMC Weapons school graduate, test pilot, weapons school instructor, or FRS/TPU Instructor
  • Comprehensive technical and functional knowledge of military weapon systems
  • Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field or industry will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience with various operational squadrons, training squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence
  • Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of War (DoW) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects

Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
