Job description

Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking an ACGME-trained Family Medicine Physician to join their established outpatient primary care practice in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This part-time role (0.80 FTE) involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The position emphasizes patient-centered care and offers a supportive environment for professional growth within a well-being-focused organization.

  • Support team consisting of Behavioral Health Clinicians, Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Practice Clinicians (NP/PA), RN & Medical Assistants

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses
  • Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen
  • Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests
  • Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies
  • Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately
  • Manage the provider/patient relationship
  • Receive and resolve patient complaints
  • Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups
