We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable individual to support a teen or youth in developing daily living skills in a home-based setting in Dodge and Jefferson Counties. This role focuses on helping a young person build confidence, structure, and independence through consistent coaching, encouragement, and practical skill-building. The ideal candidate will create a supportive environment that promotes growth, accountability, and positive routines.


**This is a Part-Time position. Total hours are variable and coordinated based on client needs and staff availability, offering a highly flexible schedule. Primary service hours align with after-school (afternoon/evenings) and weekends with expanded schedules during school breaks/summer.**

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home support to help a teen or youth practice daily living skills and build greater independence.
  • Encourage the development of routines related to organization, time management, personal care, and household responsibilities.
  • Offer coaching and guidance in a positive, respectful, and age-appropriate manner.
  • Support the individual in staying focused, completing tasks, and following through with daily goals.
  • Assist with planning and practicing skills such as scheduling, prioritizing, and task completion.
  • Model effective communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills.
  • Collaborate with family members and other support team members as appropriate to reinforce consistency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of progress, observations, and relevant updates as required.
  • Promote a safe, structured, and encouraging environment at all times.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience working with teens/youth in a mentoring, support, caregiving, or educational setting.
  • Ability to provide calm, patient, and consistent support.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort working in a home environment and adapting to individual needs.
  • Ability to encourage routine, structure, and independence through practical instruction.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Basic documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans, guidelines, and instructions as provided.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting individuals with attention, organization, or executive functioning needs.
  • Background in behavioral support, youth mentoring, education, social services, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with skill-building approaches that encourage positive reinforcement and independence.
