We are looking for the right person to join our team and assist children on the spectrum to learn more about themselves and develop an interest in learning. This position offers the applicant an opportunity to help others, learn about behavior and become instrumental in changing the quality of life for the children you work with. Our animal partners are an integral part of the daily routine. This is a part time position. Hours may vary depending on the operating schedule, which runs from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with different shifts.

Essential Responsibilities

· Teaching a small group of students and individuals inside and outside of the classroom

· Assisting in the preparation and executing lessons and resources

· Assessing the students’ progress

· Maintain an environment of respect, dignity, organization, and appropriate performance expectations.

· Attending to children’s social and emotional needs.

· Maintain data and educational records.

· Attending scheduled staff training and implementing new skills.

Minimum requirements

· Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or have eligibility to obtain one.

· CPR and First Aid infants to adult

· Strong communication skills

· Self-directed personality traits

· Courteous and professional demeanor and dress

· Able to work 15 to 35 hours per week.

· Qualifications:

· GED or High school diploma

· Experience with working with children

· Professional references
