Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part Time Diesel Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
  • Lecture and Lab instruction for Diesel Technology courses.
  • Provide Lab Safety Training.
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide advisement to students.
  • Some program and or curriculum development may be requested.
  • Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.

Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment Industry

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technologies
  • Cummins/Caterpillar/Detroit Engine Certified
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
  • Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
  • Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Schedule: Diesel Technology courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, afternoon, and evening.
Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
