Department Overview:
Joining the CLP community means joining a supporting and professional work environment.
CLP is committed to providing a nurturing environment that supports the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of all children. We work together with families to create a community that empowers children by instilling a positive sense of self, empathy toward others, and an appreciation for diversity. We provide care for children from 6 weeks old through 4-year-old kindergarten. We also offer a summer camp for children ages 6-12.
Our program benefits from a play-based HighScope curriculum. Teachers plan their own classroom's individual weekly lesson plans, including incorporating our downtown neighborhood: the central library, Capitol lawn, and neighboring museums. Children and staff alike have fun while working and learning. Meals are served family style with a focus on food that is prepared from scratch and fresh, sourcing from our on-site garden when possible. Classrooms often benefit from support staff - reducing staff-to-child ratios.

Schedule:
Creative Learning Preschool is hiring part-time teachers. Part-time shifts are typically 2-4 hours long between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm. The opportunity for additional subbing hours is available. We do our best to support the schedules of our teachers that are in college.

Qualifications:
Experience in early childhood education or related coursework is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Be at least 18 years of age.
-Passion for early childhood education and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
-Ability to collectively and compassionately solve problems as they arise.
-Completion of high school or its equivalent, as determined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
-Pediatric CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
-Excellent organizational, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
-Willingness to complete licensing required pre-service certifications, including the Wisconsin Registry.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Our enrollment is growing and we are hiring for immediate positions!
Teachers provide a wide range of stimulating experiences for children to meet their individual intellectual and emotional needs. They facilitate children's play activities by supporting children with critical problem solving skills, participating in children's play, and encouraging the development of positive social relationships. Teachers scaffold the development of children's self-help skills in eating, dressing, toileting, and other routines to foster appropriate habits. Teachers serve as a positive role model for the children.
Physical Demands:
Some positions may require employees to engage in physical activities. These activities may include bending, stooping, walking, or lifting up to 50 pounds.
