Description
The Teacher Assistant plays an important role in helping create a safe, joyful, and nurturing classroom environment. This person supports Group Leaders and Head Teachers throughout the day by caring for children, encouraging learning, joining in activities, and helping each child feel known, loved, and supported.
Experience and Job Skills Required:
  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to move freely throughout the shift (bending, kneeling, squatting, etc.)

Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily classroom activities, including academics, Bible lessons, play, and arts & crafts
  • Supervise and assist children throughout the day
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings
  • Assist with cleaning and food handling
  • Other duties as assigned
