Job description

Prepares and delivers meals to residents by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare coffee, tea, juices, and other beverages for service.
  • Assist in preparation and service of meal trays.
  • Assist the cook in preparation of vegetables, fruits, salads, and desserts.
  • Assure cleanliness in the dining areas.
  • Respond to any other regular or special tasks as required by the cook in charge or by the Administrator
  • Places items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays.
  • Assist in food storage when orders arrive.
  • Serves meals to residents.
  • Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
  • Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and ovens.
  • Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
