Type: Part-time, not to exceed 28 hours weekly


***NOTE: This position is posted year-round and filled as needed.


City of Florissant is looking for applicants for the position of part-time Custodian. This position performs routine manual work, general maintenance, repair, and cleaning.

  • Responsible for all cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Sets-up and takes down equipment for recreation programs, rentals, special events, and meetings
  • Performs maintenance and repairs
  • Operation of heavy to light equipment and tools including, but not limited to, generators, compressors, floor buffers, man lifts, and hand tools
  • Performs routine cleaning, painting, and waxing
  • Removes snow and litter
  • Cleans lavatories, replaces lavatory supplies, vacuums carpets
  • Informs supervisor of all information regarding the physical facilities
  • Exhibits a professional image, behavior, appearance, and demeanor at all times
  • Maintains strict confidence in all matters, works well with fellow staff members, treats all individuals with dignity and respect
  • Appears at work on time and as scheduled
  • Is responsible and reliable in attendance
  • This is a safety sensitive position
  • Performs other duties as directed

Requirements

High school diploma or in the process of obtaining a high school diploma. Valid state driver's license or ability to obtain one.

Not to exceed 28 hours weekly.
