Physical Requirements
Positions may require, but not limited to, lifting, bending, squating, repetitive motion, working outside, heat/cold temps (weather), working with animals.
Shift
Shifts vary - supervisor will work with individual schedules.
Job Summary
This is typically a pre-hire position.
Work on farm units. Duties will vary and may include, but not limited to, cleaning stalls, barns, facilities; feed and handle animals; operate equipment; assist with research projects. Supervisors will discuss each unit's specific needs and job duties.
Most positions are located off campus at the farms (Beef, Dairy, Equine, Poultry, Sheep, Swine, Feed Mill); a few are on campus (Animal Lab and Meat Lab).
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Attention to detail, good work ethic, punctuality, good communication skills.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience
Farm and animal experience. Computer knowledge.
