Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our Survey team in Raleigh, NC. Our team provides a full range of survey services including boundary surveying, preparation of legal descriptions for easements and parcel boundaries, topographic mapping, construction layout, control surveys, route surveys, as-built surveys.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Uses knowledge of relevant areas of surveying.
  • Prepares CAD drawings, reviewing, and processing the results of field surveys, and verifying the accuracy of field survey data.
  • Communicates effectively with members of the team and follows standard procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Basic understanding of survey methods and calculations.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Standards.
  • Demonstrates strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
  • Capable of reading / interpreting various types of construction and site plans
  • Working knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.

Education and Experience
  • Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in AutoCAD, Surveying, Geomatics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Is preferred.
  • Good driving record and valid Driver's License.
  • 3+ years of Land Surveying and CAD technician experience.
  • Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
