The Studio Lead Role

This position has a strong operational focus and is intended to provide additional support to the studio leadership team. The primary objective of the role is to help the studio reach its full potential in close collaboration with the existing leadership team.

The role is structured around a shared foundation of responsibilities and expectations, with specialized task tracks that may be assigned based on studio needs and individual strengths. These task tracks can fluctuate or change over time based on the needs of the business or continued development of the Studio Lead.

Core Responsibilities

Applies to all Studio Leads, regardless of track.

  • Function as MOD - set the tone for every shift
  • Regularly communicate to studio leadership any issues that arise during the shift
  • Assist the Studio Leadership in daily studio tasks and projects
  • SOP Training - share knowledge and best practices with staff
  • Maintain daily checklists and ensure studio team is completing them to B/SPOKE standard
  • Provide high-level customer service and hospitality to clients
  • Champion the B/SPOKE experience
  • Delegate tasks to peers
  • Lead by example
  • Assist leadership team with additional responsibilities, as needed
  • Assist with the training and coaching of new hires
  • Maintain knowledge of all studio operations, memberships and promotions
  • Deliver timely feedback to peers and management
  • Set schedule: 3-4 days per week (approximately 25 hours per week)
  • Defined KPI deliverables
  • Involvement in staff and class scheduling
  • Participation in ordering and budgeting processes
