About the Role
The Streaming Engineer is responsible for planning, operating, and continually improving our live
video production and broadcast systems. This role ensures that every weekend service, special
event, and midweek program is delivered with excellence to our in-person congregation and online
audience alike.
Key Responsibilities
Streaming Engineer
• Operate and manage all live streaming equipment for weekend services, special events and
midweek programming
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot video switchers, encoding hardware/software, cameras,
and streaming platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
• Maintain and optimize streaming workflows to ensure broadcast stability and high video/
audio quality
• Collaborate with the worship, production, and creative teams to execute technically flawless
services
• Monitor live feeds during broadcasts and respond quickly to technical issues
• Manage graphics overlays, lower thirds, sermon slides, and video playback integrations
(e.g., ProPresenter, Renewed Vision)
• Archive and export service recordings for on-demand publishing and content repurposing
• Maintain, repair, and inventory all streaming and broadcast equipment
• Research and recommend upgrades to keep our broadcast infrastructure current
• Train and develop volunteer streaming team members
Qualifications
Required
• 2+ years of experience in live video production, broadcast engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency with video switchers (Blackmagic ATEM, Ross, or similar)
• Experience with streaming encoders and platforms (Resi, OBS, Wirecast, YouTube Live,
Facebook Live)
• Strong understanding of video signal flow, codecs, and network-based streaming (RTMP,
SRT, NDI)
• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure in a live environment

Reports To Director of Media
Hours 5-10 hours per week (Sunday required)
Compensation Competitive; commensurate with experience

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Preferred
• Experience in a church or nonprofit production environment
• Familiarity with ProPresenter or similar worship presentation software
• Knowledge of audio production fundamentals
• Passion for using technology to advance ministry
