Job Summary

  The College of Communications' Stockroom houses all equipment for the several college departments for production classes. Under direct supervision, the stockroom assistant supports the daily operations of the CSUF Equipment Room by managing the checkout returns, maintenance, and organization of equipment and supplies and assist with inventory. Perform routine cleaning, testing, and basic maintenance of equipment. Organize and maintain a clean, secure, and efficient equipment room environment. This role ensures that students have timely access to properly functioning equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records and upholding university policies. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. Be able to lift up to 25lb

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents..

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in equipment handling, inventory management, or technical support
Familiarity with audiovisual and media equipment

Students with Federal Work Study awards highly encouraged to apply.
