Description:

Kimberton Whole Foods in Malvern is looking for Part-Time Meat & Dairy Stockers!

Schedule: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week. One weekend shift & closing shifts are required each week.

Availability: Flexible, between hours of 7am-8:30pm

Pay: $17/hr depending on experience

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.

DAILY OPERATIONS: The Meat & Dairy Stocker's primary responsibilities to execute the following.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all.
  • Receive and stock all incoming refrigerated/frozen items including fresh meat and fish, local eggs and dairy. Receive and stock fresh bakery items and specialty products.
  • Stock and handle products following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
  • Prioritization of product, vendor and fresh department logistic; managing multiple small vendors.
  • Rotating backstock on a first-in first-out basis.
  • Execute the current KWF ordering SOP to maintain fully stocked shelves in all departments.
  • Awareness of the general inventory and priorities of the department ensuring no false out of stocks.
  • Work in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
  • Follow KWF cleaning SOP in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head. This includes weekly cleaning of the meat, dairy and prepared food cases.
  • Assist the Front End by scanning customers' groceries and completing all transactions efficiently. Carefully and efficiently bags groceries.
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
Requirements:

Physical Capabilities:

  • Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
  • Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
  • Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
  • Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
  • Standing- prolonged standing.
  • Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
  • Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
