Job description

Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center is looking to bolster our Drum Department with a new part-time stockperson! This position will play a critical role in the success of our Drum Department. As a Drum Stock Specialist, you will be responsible for transporting items from the onsite warehouse to the store, cycle counting and ensuring accurate inventory, as well as pulling items for customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the leading independent music stores in the country and get your foot in the door of our Drum Department.

Drummers are highly encouraged to apply and will be given priority. Warehouse or stock experience is also preferred, but not required. 

Requirements: 

  • Working knowledge of percussion instruments and all related products 
  • Genuine interest in drumming, drum technology, and music retail 
  • Ability to pick up new information quickly, follow instructions well, and retain information 
  • Capacity to multi-task and manage priorities simultaneously 
  • Ability to remain focused while working alone or performing repetitive tasks 
  • Willing to learn inventory tracking software and adhere to necessary company procedures 
  • Strong work ethic and reliable punctuality  
  • Comfortable working with computers 
  • Can lift 75 lbs. on a regular basis 
  • Commitment to consistent attendance and work performance 
  • Saturday availability
