Position Summary:
Student Services Information Technology (SSIT) is seeking a Technical Analyst 1 to provide technology support for the Student Union Building, Student Affairs, Student Health & Counseling, Enrollment Management, and Global Education Office. This position supports a diverse technology environment, including Windows and macOS computers, mobile devices, audiovisual systems, enterprise applications, meeting and event technologies, and a variety of cloud and on-premises solutions. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while providing reliable, responsive technology support and services that enable faculty, staff, student employees, and departments to effectively support the University's mission.
The successful candidate will be creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic about leveraging technology to support and enhance higher education. They will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of IT support and systems management best practices, and a demonstrated commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will exercise sound judgment, maintain a high level of professionalism, and consistently adhere to established security, privacy, and data governance practices to protect University information resources. They will be collaborative, customer-focused, committed to continuous improvement, and capable of building trusted relationships while delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality technology services.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems in a managed enterprise or higher education environment.
  • Experience supporting endpoint technologies, enterprise applications, and mobile devices using centralized management and administration tools.
  • Experience supporting audiovisual, conferencing, livestream, or event technologies, including meeting spaces, presentation systems, or hybrid collaboration environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of hardware, software, networking, and peripheral technology issues while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working in an environment that requires the protection of sensitive information and adherence to security, privacy, or regulatory requirements, such as FERPA, HIPAA, or similar standards.
