Physical Therapist (P.T.)

Sports Medicine/Orthopedic clinic

 Part-time

  • Work location: Texas Health Southwest - Fitness Center, 6301 Harris Parkway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76132
  • Work hours: Part-time, 24-hours/week, between 7:00AM-6:00PM, schedule varies, No weekends and no federal holidays. Flexible schedule.

Physical Therapy Department highlights:

        Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

  • Magnet designated facility

        Focus on Orthopedics/Joint replacement - knees, hips, total joints as well as some high school & weekend athletes.

        An orthopedic clinic with a lot of post-op hips and knees and some spine patients. A small clinic embedded in a fitness center.

        Excellent experienced team with very high engagement and safety scores

Here's What You Need

        Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required.

        No experience necessary, however prefer 1 year prior Physical Therapy experience.

        PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required And

        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.

        Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

        Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.

        Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

What You Will Do

        Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

        Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

        Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home
programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

        Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

        Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel

        Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
