Position Overview: This part-time seasonal position will assist the Washington Capitals communications department. Game Night Staff will assist with duties during Capitals preseason, regular season and playoff home games throughout the 2026-27 season. Are you passionate about hockey and looking for communications experience with a professional sports team? We'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities:
  • Assist with media lounge and press box set up.
  • Distribute credentials to media.
  • Pass out statistics between periods.
  • Record postgame audio.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Organized, able to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Hard working, detail oriented and results driven.
  • Strong leadership skills; a great teammate who enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Previous public relations, communications, or journalism experience preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Flexibility to work at least 90% of Capitals home games (typical game night hours: 4-10:30 p.m.).
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
