About the Role
Dedicated School Staffing is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Substitute Bilingual Educational Aides to provide instructional and language-support assistance in classrooms when the regular bilingual aide is absent. Working under the direction of teachers and administrators, the substitute supports English Learners (ELs) by reinforcing instruction, facilitating communication, and helping maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction by assisting English Learners in small groups or individually, following the teacher's lesson plans and directions
- Provide translation and interpretation between English and the target language to help students understand assignments, instructions, and classroom expectations
- Assist with classroom management, helping maintain order, engagement, and a culturally responsive environment
- Prepare and organize materials as directed, ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences
- Monitor student progress and behavior, reporting observations to the teacher or administrator
- Facilitate communication with families when needed, offering language support for notes, calls, or brief interactions
