Job description

West Side Beer Distributing is hiring a Part-Time Reclamation Associate in Romulus.
West Side Beer Distributing is looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Reclamation Associate to join our Warehouse team in Romulus. In this role, you'll help our warehouse by unloading returned products, sorting recyclable materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. If you enjoy staying active, working with a team, and taking pride in keeping operations organized, we'd love to hear from you.
Location: Romulus, MI
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday | 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $17.25 per hour
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

What You'll Do
  • Unload returned products, empty kegs, glass, and pallets from delivery trucks.
  • Sort cardboard, glass, and other recyclable materials for processing.
  • Prepare recyclable materials for baling and recycling.
  • Conduct can bag audits to verify accurate quantities.
  • Operate balers to compress recyclable materials.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Crush can bags and prepare recyclable materials for processing.
  • Maintain a clean work area by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris, broken glass, and loose materials.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and warehouse procedures.
  • Report accidents, equipment concerns, and safety issues promptly.

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required-we're willing to train motivated individuals.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to safety, organization, and reliability.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Physical Requirements
This is an active warehouse position that requires:
  • Standing and walking for most of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier materials with equipment assistance.
  • Working in a warehouse environment, including both indoor and outdoor areas.
