Rodeo Cannabis Co. operates one of Connecticut's most advanced cannabis extraction labs, featuring state-of-the-art automation and precision instrumentation - all built to deliver consistent, high-quality, replicable results. We're hiring a dedicated Extraction Technician for our overnight shift at our Sterling, CT facility. This is a hands-on, specialized role for someone who thrives on focused work, owns process consistency, and takes pride in mastering the craft of cannabis extraction.

OPERATIONS YOU'LL OWN

BHO Extraction

Run closed-loop hydrocarbon extraction systems safely and consistently

Solvent Recovery

Manage solvent recovery cycles to maximize yield and minimize loss

Vape Filling

Operate precision vape cart filling equipment to meet quality and volume targets

Concentrate Gramming

Accurately weigh, gram, and package finished concentrate products to spec

Batch Documentation

Complete accurate batch records and compliance logs for every run

Safety & Compliance

Uphold all safety protocols, SOPs, and CT cannabis regulations on every shift

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate closed-loop BHO extraction systems safely and in strict accordance with lab SOPs
  • Manage solvent recovery cycles to maximize yield, minimize loss, and maintain run efficiency
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and flow parameters throughout every extraction run
  • Operate precision vape cart filling equipment and verify fill weights against quality standards
  • Accurately gram, weigh, and package finished concentrate products to spec and CT compliance requirements
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and end-of-shift cleaning procedures
  • Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and seed-to-sale compliance documentation
  • Identify and report any equipment issues, deviations, or safety concerns immediately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment at all times
  • Hand off completed batches and shift notes to incoming day-shift team members
  • Adhere to all SOPs, GMP guidelines, and Connecticut cannabis lab safety protocols

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to consistently work overnight shifts in a focused, lab-based environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on the lab floor throughout a full shift
  • Capable of repetitive bending, reaching, and fine motor tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and product consistency
  • Ability to strictly follow standard operating procedures in a regulated lab environment
  • Comfortable working with solvents and lab equipment in a safety-first environment
  • Must be 18 years of age or older per Connecticut cannabis regulations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on experience with closed-loop BHO or hydrocarbon extraction systems Highly Preferred
  • Prior experience with vape cart filling equipment or concentrate gramming/packaging Highly Preferred
  • Background in cannabis post-processing, lab work, or chemistry-related production
  • Familiarity with solvent recovery operations and extraction equipment maintenance
  • Experience working overnight or alternative shifts in a regulated production environment
  • Familiarity with seed-to-sale compliance tracking (e.g., Biotrack, METRC)
  • Certificate or coursework in chemistry, lab science, or cannabis processing
