The Victoria Royals are seeking an energetic and innovative ContentCreator to lead in the online story telling of the team by capturing theexcitement, emotion, and personality of our players, coaches, fans, andcommunity. This role will play an important part in growing the Royals brand byproducing engaging digital content that connects with fans, drives engagement,and showcases everything that makes the Victoria Royals a cornerstone of theVictoria sports community.

KeyResponsibilities


  • Attend all Victoria Royals home games, team practices, community appearances, promotional events, media days, and other organization functions as required.
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content that showcases the team, players, coaches, fans, partners, and community initiatives.
  • Create engaging, real-time content for social media during games and events, including behind-the-scenes coverage, player features, fan interactions, and in-game highlights.
  • Plan, film, edit, and publish original digital content across the Victoria Royals' social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop creative content ideas and recurring series that strengthen fan engagement and enhance the Royals' brand.
  • Produce promotional videos and digital assets to support ticket sales campaigns, sponsorship activations, community programs, special events, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, communications, partnerships, and game presentation teams to execute content strategies and organizational campaigns.
  • Edit photos and videos using industry-standard software to produce polished, professional content with quick turnaround times.
  • Assist with player interviews, feature stories, and behind-the-scenes storytelling that highlights the personalities and culture of the organization.
  • Maintain and organize digital media assets, ensuring content is properly archived and accessible.
  • Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to continuously improve the quality, creativity, and performance of Royals content.
  • Represent the Victoria Royals professionally while building positive relationships with players, staff, partners, fans, and members of the community.
  • Perform other content creation, marketing, and communications duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Experience creating digital content for sports, brands, ororganizations.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom,Photoshop) or equivalent editing software.
  • Experience shooting on DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile platforms.
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.


Schedule Expectations

 

Evening andweekend availability is required throughout the season. This individual will bepresent at all home games, team practices, community appearances, specialevents, and select team functions. This is ahands-on position that requires creativity, attention to detail, and theability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the hockey season.
