Job description

Positrace is an international GPS Tracking and Fleet Management SaaS provider looking for a hands-on Part-time Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day accounting while working in a collaborative, fast-paced technology company.

You'll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end activities, and helping improve our accounting processes as the business continues to grow. We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable adapting to an evolving environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with expense management.
  • Ensure invoices, payments, and financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Assist with GST/PST filings and other regulatory reporting.
  • Support external accountants and auditors by preparing documentation.
  • Help improve accounting processes and maintain organized financial records.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative projects as needed.


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
  • Knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping practices, GST/PST, and payroll.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working in a technology or SaaS company is considered an asset.


Schedule

  • Part-Time (25-30 hours per week)
  • Monday to Friday 5-6 hours per day
  • On site position
  • $30- $35 rate per hour based on experience


In this role, you'll ensure our financial records remain accurate, our accounting processes run smoothly, and our Finance team has the information needed to support a growing business. You'll be someone the team can rely on for accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement.
