Job description

Benefits:
  • Employee discounts
  • Flexible schedule
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Training & development

We’re looking for a veterinarian who practices solid medicine and enjoys working with a team that helps each other out when the day inevitably gets weird.
This role is perfect for someone looking for flexibility, supplemental income, or just a part-time position where you can focus on good patient care without feeling completely drained at the end of the day.
We’re a small animal practice that values teamwork, good communication, kindness, and the ability to adapt when a “quick nail trim” somehow turns into a 45-minute emotional support session for both the dog and the owner.
Our Core Values

Everything we do is guided by our core values:
  • Compassion – We care deeply for pets, clients, and each other.
  • Integrity – We do the right thing, always.
  • Teamwork – We succeed together.
  • Excellence – We are committed to continuous improvement and high standards.
  • Respect – We treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Seeing wellness and sick appointments
  • Diagnosing and treating medical conditions
  • Creating treatment plans and explaining them clearly
  • Performing surgery and dentistry
  • Working closely with technicians and support staff
  • Keeping accurate medical records
  • Helping clients feel informed and supported
  • Jumping into the occasional beautiful chaos that is general practice
Some days run smoothly. Some days someone’s doodle eats a toy five minutes before closing. We work together, communicate well, and try to keep the atmosphere supportive and low-drama.

You’d fit in well here if you:
  • Treat support staff with respect
  • Stay calm(ish) when the schedule goes sideways
  • Communicate clearly and kindly
  • Enjoy collaborating and sharing ideas
  • Care about patient care and client experience
  • Are adaptable and solutions-focused
  • Can laugh occasionally, even during a busy day
Qualifications:
  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Active Texas veterinary license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while still being part of the team
Extra gold stars for:
  • Small animal GP experience
  • Surgery and dentistry experience
  • Familiarity with Cornerstone or similar software
  • Interest in preventative care and client education
Schedule:
  • Part-time
  • 1–2 days per week
  • Flexible scheduling available
What we offer:
  • Flexible work-life balance
  • Competitive compensation
  • Skilled support staff
  • Employee pet discounts
  • Continuing education opportunities
  • Exposure to different medical approaches and experienced perspectives
  • Hands-on experience with modern treatments and medical advancements
To apply:
  • Send us your resume and answer these three questions:
    • What appeals to you about part-time veterinary work right now?
    • What kind of workplace helps you enjoy coming to work?
    • What do you think makes a veterinary team function well together?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys practicing good medicine, values teamwork, and understands that veterinary medicine occasionally involves getting fur on your scrubs before 8 AM.
