Job Summary:
X-ray technician to be responsible for providing clear images to Physicians through bone density scanning. The X-ray technician's responsibilities include following Physicians' instructions, explaining the procedure to patients, selecting software options and imaging parameters on the Bone Density machine and keeping records of reports. To be a successful X-ray technician, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be sensitive to the needs of the patients. You should show attention to detail and be able to work in a team.
MBC is seeking full-time or part-time X-ray Tech.
X-Ray Technician Responsibilities:
  • Explain the bone density procedure to patients.
  • Ensure all safety questions are asked and consent forms signed before scanning.
  • Position the patient properly to capture clear images of the body.
  • Maneuver the Bone Density equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
  • Monitor patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
  • Monitor Bone Density equipment functions.
  • Ensure clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Cleaning and performing routine maintenance tasks to keep X-ray equipment operating smoothly
  • Quality Assurance- as needed
  • Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
  • Willing to train on Densitometry

Qualifications:
  • ARRT registry preferred
