Job description

Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Printed Wire Board (PWB) Designer to join our Engineering Services Group in Redmond, WA . This is an on-site position that offers flexibility to work from home part-time dependent on project needs. Job Summary A PWB Designer with Astronics AES works with electrical and mechanical engineers to place and route components for complex Printed Wiring Boards (a.k.a. Printed "Circuit" Boards) in compliance with applicable standards and specifications and generates PWB fabrication drawings and associated files. Supports electrical engineering for schematic design and drawing output and supports component development and database entry for schematic and layout CAD libraries

Essential Responsibilities Performs PWB layouts of basic complexity. Maintains design documentation with direction and review from a senior PWB Design Specialist. Assists in release of schematic file.

Creates PWB symbols and submits to more senior team members for review. Completes assigned tasks within allotted time, with emphasis on improving skills with design tools and PWB layout techniques Follows department procedures and team guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Education Associate's degree from an accredited college or technical school highly desired.

A suitable combination of work experience and education may be considered in place of a two-year degree. Experience Demonstrates familiarity - typically achieved with 2 or more years of direct experience with the essential responsibilities and technical skills of the role. Technical Skills PWB Layout CAD Software (Mentor Graphics PADS) Schematic CAD software (Cadence OrCAD) Microsoft Office Suite software SharePoint and other web-based data tools PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software (Empower-Omnify) 2D CAD software familiarity (AutoCAD) PDF Software (PDF-XChange) Employment Eligibility Requirements This position may involve access to items subject to U.S

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening (includes cannabis). Compensation Base salary range: $26.73 - $40.10 per hour (Mid-point: $33.41 ). Factors such as education, experience, skills and market conditions influence the actual salary
