Essential Functions Prepare material lists and step-by-step procedures for substation projects and work orders; Perform system modeling tasks such as entering data into models, running reports and printing them in a presentable format; Balance load for substation circuits as well as overall load allocation for all substations; Calculate impedance, short circuit currents, and X/R ratios for the transmission and distribution system; Determine where to place capacitors and air switches to optimize the operation of the distribution equipment; Prepare request for proposal documents for purchasing transmission and distribution equipment; Preparation of technical drawings for new facilities and improvements to existing overhead and underground facilities. Qualifications Completion of an associate's degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following: *** Critical Infrastructure: This position has been determined to have close contact with, or control of Critical Infrastructure components.
