Room Attendant
Are you satisfied by the sight of a room looking spotless and perfectly in order, knowing your efforts made it happen? If so, you'll thrive in our housekeeping team. where friendly and dedicated room attendants work together to provide guests with a comforting "home away from home." Guests rely on a clean, welcoming environment for a restful stay, and you play a key role in making that a reality. In the role of Room Attendant you will:
• Be Meticulous – Clean and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards by making beds, changing linens, dusting, polishing surfaces, vacuuming, and thoroughly cleaning bathrooms.
• Focus on Details – Ensure every room is guest-ready by checking that windows shine, towels are neatly folded, amenities are fully stocked, closets are organized with the correct number of hangers, and all finishing touches are perfectly in place.
• Be Organized – Maintain a clean, well-stocked housekeeping cart and keep assigned closets orderly and prepared for each shift.
• Be a Housekeeping Ambassador – Greet guests with a warm smile and friendly attitude, helping create a positive, welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel.
• Be a Safety & Security Agent – Follow all hotel safety and security procedures, properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment, and promptly report any concerns, damages, or maintenance issues to management.
Job Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience required, with the ability to clean 15 guest rooms per shift
- Medium work – ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stretch, twist, and reach for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic English communication skills
Job Duties
In addition to the responsibilities above, essential duties include:
- Complete full room cleans for all assigned guestrooms, including dusting fixtures, stripping and making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities according to standards and training
- Provide all guest and employee interactions in a warm, friendly, and service-oriented manner
- Review daily assignments and complete all tasks thoroughly and efficiently
- Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens on housekeeping carts
- Follow proper SOPs for entering, cleaning, and securing guest rooms
- Secure issued keys at all times and report lost or stolen keys immediately
- Report all maintenance or engineering issues promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
- Report all lost and found items immediately according to hotel procedures
- Keep housekeeping closets clean, neat, and organized at all times
- Prepare housekeeping carts for the next day’s use, including restocking, stripping, and cleaning
- Maintain regular attendance based on hotel scheduling needs
- Keep supervisors informed of any challenges or issues requiring attention
- Gain knowledge of hotel facilities and services to better assist guests
