Job Summary
Amentum is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented engineering intern to support our Denver Colorado Engineering Design Team. Amentum is a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative technology solutions. The 8 to 10 week internship will provide 2026 graduates with a path to a full-time position.
The engineering team you would be joining includes licensed professional engineers that are recognized technical experts in nuclear energy, nuclear waste treatment, radioactive waste cleanup, environmental management and advanced energy solutions. We are looking for individuals with interest in joining a team of Process and Instrumentation & Control System engineers. Chemical engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers are all welcome to apply!
This internship will provide you with an opportunity to build on what you know and apply your skills to bring advanced engineering and technology solutions to the most significant challenges in science, security and sustainability
Amentum Internships are designed to:
1. Introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
2. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.
3. Assist in the preparation of project calculations.
4. Assist in the production of design drawings.
5. Performs all position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Qualifications
- 2026 Graduate with Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited university in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
- Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
- Works independently and collaboratively with guidance and direction from others.
- US Citizen (dual citizenship is not allowed).
Compensation
The annual starting salary/ hourly rate for this position is between $25 to $35 hourly. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills,
education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
