To thrive as a Part Time Sitter, you need basic caregiving knowledge, reliability, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with communication tools, scheduling apps, and sometimes basic first aid certification are typically expected. Patience, trustworthiness, and strong interpersonal skills help build rapport with clients and those under your care. These skills ensure safety, foster trust, and create a positive environment for those being looked after.

To manage these challenges, effective communication with families about expectations and schedules is key. Developing flexible routines, staying organized, and being proactive in addressing any concerns with parents can help create a positive and productive environment for both the sitter and the children.

What is a part time sitter?
