What is a part-time side job?

Part-time side jobs are flexible employment opportunities that individuals take on in addition to their main job or studies. These roles typically require fewer hours per week than full-time positions and can range from freelance work and gig economy jobs to retail or administrative support. People often pursue part-time side jobs to earn extra income, gain new skills, or explore different career interests without committing to a full-time schedule.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part-time side worker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a part-time side worker, you typically need reliability, time management, and basic proficiency in the specific duties of the role—often requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with scheduling tools, point-of-sale systems, or relevant industry software is often expected depending on the job type. Strong communication, flexibility, and self-motivation are essential soft skills to balance multiple responsibilities and adapt to varying schedules. These abilities ensure you can effectively contribute to the team, meet employer expectations, and successfully manage work alongside other commitments.

How do part-time side roles typically balance flexibility with responsibility, and what should applicants expect regarding work hours and task management?

Part-time side roles are designed to offer flexibility, often allowing employees to choose shifts or work outside traditional business hours. However, these positions still require strong time management skills, as tasks and deadlines must be met reliably. Applicants should expect clear expectations from supervisors regarding weekly hours and deliverables, though schedules may fluctuate based on business needs or project cycles. Successful part-time side workers proactively communicate about their availability and manage their workload to ensure consistent performance.

Job description

Who we're looking for

A well-connected, relationship-driven professional - coaches, teachers, athletic directors, or community leaders - who thrives on opening doors and closing deals. If you love the front end of sales and have a strong local network, this role was built for you. Got a day job, a coaching gig, or a packed schedule? No problem. This is designed to work around your life.

This is not a remote position. Applicants must currently reside within the assigned territory to be considered.

The opportunity

You'll be boots on the ground, building partnerships with schools, sports teams, programs, and community organizations in your area - on your schedule. Your focus is to prospect, connect, and close - then hand off to an Account Manager who handles everything after. No backend admin, no long-term account management. Just pure relationship-driven sales with people you likely already know. Perfect as a side hustle, a part-time gig, or a way to monetize the network you've already built.

What you'll do

  • Tap into your existing local network toidentifyand engage potential partners
  • Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and demos - when it works for you
  • Close new partnerships and hand off seamlessly to your Account Manager

What you bring

  • Current residency within the assigned territory (required- non-local applicants will not be considered)
  • Strong local community ties and existing relationships
  • Self-starter mentality with solid communication skills
  • Comfort in a 100% commission, performance-driven environment
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check, including driving record

What you'll earn

  • Uncapped commission - no ceiling on your earnings, no matter how many hours you put in

The details

  • Flexible contract (1099) - make your own schedule; designed to work as a side hustle or part-time gig
  • One-quarterinitialcommitment with opportunity to extend
  • No base salary, benefits, or paid leave
