Duties Description Drive the Campus Community Forward with the Parking and Transportation Services Team. Join our team as a part-time shuttle operator working weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m

and make a meaningful impact by keeping our campus connected. In this role, you'll: Provide reliable and friendly shuttle service within and between campuses. Keep our vehicles clean, safe, and ready to go with regular inspections and maintenance.

Offer vital transportation support for students with disabilities. If you enjoy helping others, value safety, and want to be part of a dynamic team, this is the job for you. This position is defined as safety-sensitive, and as such, is subject to alcohol and drug testing under the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991.

Minimum Qualifications Individuals must possess a New York State CDL Class A, B, or C license, with Passenger (P) Endorsement for 25 passengers You are required to create a Clearinghouse account as part of your application. Additional Comments Departmental Operation Needs: You will be required to provide your driver's license information to enable participation in the License Event Notification Service (LENS) and Clearinghouse for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.

Capability to assist passengers, including those with mobility challenges, as needed. Ability to perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience operating a passenger bus or shuttle in a campus or public transit setting.

Familiarity with assisting individuals with disabilities. Strong communication and customer service skills. Driving Requirements A CDL is a required minimum qualification for this position.

Employees must operate university owned vehicles for business purposes and be enrolled in the LENS and Clearinghouse programs to verify a valid CDL appropriate for the vehicle operated. Special Instructions Summary Applicants will be required to provide their driver's license information and create a Clearinghouse account to enable participation in the DMV's License Event Notification System (LENS) and Clearinghouse for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The FMCDS Commercial Driver's License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse is a secure online database that will allow the University at Buffalo to request access from applicants to identify drivers who commit drug and alcohol program violations.
