Job description

Overview
Utah State University is a vibrant and dynamic educational institution committed to providing a nurturing environment for students to learn and grow. We are currently seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as an Aggie Shuttle Bus Drivers.
As an Aggie Shuttle Bus Driver at USU, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess excellent communication skills, and prioritize safety at all times. Training will be provided to ensure that you are well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of the position. All individuals hired will be expected to possess or be able to receive a class B CDL, as well as Passenger and Airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Aggie Shuttle buses to transport students, faculty, and staff to various destinations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and college policies to ensure the safety of passengers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
  • Assist with other assignments for major parking events, such as home basketball and football games.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old, due to licensing requirements
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to undergo training to qualify for a Class B CDL, Passenger endorsement, and Airbrake endorsement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize safety and adhere to traffic laws
