Position Summary:
The Production Intern gains hands-on experience supporting video projects from concept to delivery. Assists with game, practice, studio, and community coverage through camera, lighting, and audio support; helps coordinate shoots, organize footage, and edit using Adobe Creative Suite. Collaborates across departments and contributes to social, broadcast, and in-game content.
What You Will Learn:
  • In this role you will learn how to produce and edit a feature from conception to completion.
  • Leading brainstorming meetings
  • Coordination of location and talent
  • Setting up equipment and necessary crew
  • Shooting live game action as well as feature content
  • Organizing and logging footage
  • Editing using the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, et. al.) while adhering to Kraken branding guidelines
  • Mastering the final delivery and archiving process for each project

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist production team with day-to-day coverage of games, practices, studio shoots, and community activations through lighting, audio equipment, and/or camera operation
  • Organize and log video footage after games, practices, and shoots
  • Produce video projects from concept to completion-in collaboration with producers or independently-for social, KHN, or in-game
  • Adapt to change with flexibility and a positive attitude

Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Sony cameras and Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, et. al.)
  • Experience in broadcast journalism, video and/or audio production
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts
  • Perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator
  • General hockey knowledge with a desire to learn more

Compensation & Perks:
  • In accordance with Washington's Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for the position is $21.50-$22.50/hr. Actual base pay will depend on the employee's experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
  • This role is classified as part-time, non-exempt.

Working Conditions:
  • This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow, and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
  • This role will work approximately 20-30 hours per week. Hours may fluctuate based on school schedule, work assigned, etc.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
  • Must have transportation to and from events.
