Part Time Sheet Metal Jobs in Colorado (NOW HIRING)

Based in Englewood, Colorado, United Rotorcraft designs and modifies mission-critical aircraft supporting air medical, firefighting, military, law enforcement, and other specialized operations.

As a Composite Technician, you'll use your hands-on skills to fabricate, assemble, and repair composite aircraft parts and customize aircraft interiors for specialized missions. You'll have the opportunity to see your craftsmanship directly contribute to aircraft that perform critical work every day.

Pay Range: $23.76 - $29.09 per hourActual compensation is based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, and overall qualifications. This position is also eligible for Air Methods' comprehensive employee benefits package.

Install aircraft interiors modifying panels for medical and mechanical systems. Design and construct composite and wood molds, fabricates plastic and composite parts from respective molds, constructs small sheet metal or wood parts as needed. Responsible for monitoring and controlling material usage in the shop. Evaluate and repair aircraft parts returned from aircraft in service. Maintain scheduled maintenance and repairs of machinery, tools and work area. Occasional shift work, weekends, and overtime. Dependable and self-motivated Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude under deadline pressuresEquipment Used Sheet metal shear, hand brake, roller, belt sander, band saw, table saw, drill press, sheet metal and wood working related hand and air tools. Employee must provide necessary hand tools to perform duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.Certification FAA Airframe certification preferred.
