Position Summary

The Community Education Instructor is responsible for teaching and facilitating classes designed to provide non-credit, enrichment, or skills-based instruction to community members at Luna Community College. This role is essential for delivering quality, long-term course offerings to the community. This position will be part time at 19 hours per week or less.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develop and deliver engaging instruction in the listed subject areas. And ensure all instruction is executed safely and in compliance with required specialty and LCC standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Expertise in the subject matter being taught (e.g., Cooking, Fitness, Arts, etc.).
  • Strong verbal communication and instructional skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of community members

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES

  • Expertise/experience necessary to teach the specific course subject.
  • Required Certifications for Specific Classes (Long-Term):
  • Culinary or Cooking Classes: Must possess current ServSafe certification at time of application.
